Embracing Life again :)

I guess embracing life had been difficult for a period in my life as it was just so frustrating trying to embrace it while others try their best to destroy it.. Thank god most of these people are gone... Time to embrace life again! :)

Welcome to CT-GEN

Im with IRAS (Not for long though), in the branch called CT-Gen (Corporate Tax - General).

Recently, we have a new batch of TTOs (Temporary Tax Officers). They were given a space in the office, open concept, like some exam marking department. Apparently, there is this new STO (Senior Tax Officer) who is new to our dept as well who was joining the new TTOs in their training. This new lady sits at Ah mond's table (since he is no longer with us). Well, at her desk, she had this little board where she will indicate her whereabouts. below was what we saw.

Hahaha... when Hauz saw it, he was veh naughty, he borrowed a post it pad and pen from Huifen and wrote the following.

Hahaha.. Just in cse you cant read what was written, it says:

"There's alot of TTOs' desk you know??
Welcome to CT-Gen ^u^"

Hahaha... ;p (Im a TTO too...)

Where is Humanity??!!!???!!!

When you recieve emails of pic of children without food, starving to death, attacked by flies, dirty, poor, homeless yet trying to survive; your heart just goes out to them dun you? Imagine festive season when we dig into turkey, bacon, ham, pastries, and all goodies, its one of the worst time where your heart really really go out to them....

I was rushing around trying to get some last minute shopping done. It was dark, cold, and wet in the car park as I loaded my car up with the gifts I felt obligated to buy. I noticed that I was missing the receipt which I would need to get out of the car park, so mumbling under my breath, I retraced my steps. As I was searching the wet pavement for the lost receipt, I heard a quiet sobbing.

The crying was coming from a poorly dressed boy of about 10 years old. He was short and thin. He had no coat. He was just wearing a ragged flannel shirt to protect him from the cold evenings chill. Oddly enough, he was holding two fifty pound notes in his hand. Thinking that he had got lost from his parents, I asked him what was wrong and he told me his sad story.

He said that he came from a large family. He had three brothers and four sisters. His father had died when he was seven years old. His mother was poorly educated and worked two full time jobs to make ends meet. Nevertheless, she had managed to scrimp and save two hundred pounds to buy her children Christmas presents. The young boy had been dropped off, by his mother, on the way to her second job. He was to use the money to buy presents for all his brothers and sisters and save just enough to take the bus home. He had not even entered the shopping centre, when an older boy grabbed two of his fifty pound notes and disappeared into the night.

"Why didn't you scream for help?" I asked.
The boy said, "I did."
"And nobody came to help you?"
The boy stared at the ground and sadly shook his head.
"How loud did you scream?" I enquired.
The soft-spoken boy looked up and meekly whispered, "Help me!"
I realised that absolutely no one could have heard that poor boy cry for help.

So I grabbed his other two fifty pound notes and fucked off.

Kaoz!! The first thing I did after reading the above was to laugh... hahaha... damn Woah Kaoz lor...

World Cup Rules

With the 2006 finals little more than 2 weeks away, thought it would be a good idea to post some
rules for the Women folk, remember ladies the World Cup is *only* every 4 years, however we have to
put up with Eastenders, Corrie, Brookside, Big Brother, Desperate Housewives, Wife Swap and all the
other crap that's on TV every night of week....................

LIST OF RULES FOR WOMEN

1. From 9 June to 9 July 2006, you should read the sports section of the newspaper so that you are
aware of what is going on regarding the World Cup, and that way you will be able to join in the
conversations. If you fail to do this, then you will be looked at in a bad way, or you will be
totally ignored. DO NOT complain about not receiving any attention.

2. During the World Cup, the television is mine, at all times, without any exceptions. If you even
take a glimpse of the remote control, you will lose an eye.

3. If you have to pass by in front of the TV during a game, I don't mind, as long as you do it
crawling on the floor and without distracting me. If you decide to stand nude in front of the TV,
make sure you put clothes on right after because if you catch a cold, I wont have time to take you
to the doctor or look after you during the World Cup month.

4. During the games I will be blind, deaf and mute, unless I require a refill of my drink or
something to eat. You are out of your mind if you expect me to listen to you, open the door, answer
the telephone, or pick up the baby that just fell from the second floor....it wont happen.

5. It would be a good idea for you to keep at least 2 six packs in the fridge at all times, as well
as plenty of things to nibble on, and please do not make any funny faces to my friends when they
come over to watch the games. In return, you will be allowed to use the TV between 12am and 6am,
unless they replay a good game that I missed during the day.

6. Please, please, please!! if you see me upset because one of my teams is losing, DO NOT say "get
over it, its only a game", or "don't worry, they'll win next time". If you say these things, you
will only make me angrier and I will love you less. Remember, you will never ever know more about
football than me and your so called "words of encouragement" will only lead to a break up or
divorce.

7. You are welcome to sit with me to watch one game and you can talk to me during halftime but only
when the commercials are on, and only if the halftime score is pleasing me. In addition, please note
I am saying "one" game, hence do not use the World Cup as a nice cheesy excuse to "spend time
together".

8. The replays of the goals are very important. I don't care if I have seen them or I haven't seen
them, I want to see them again. Many times.

9. Tell your friends NOT to have any babies, or any other child related parties or gatherings that
requires my attendance because:

a) I will not go,
b) I will not go, and
c) I will not go.

10. But, if a friend of mine invites us to his house on a Sunday to watch a game, we will be there
in a flash.

11. The daily World Cup highlights show on TV every night is just as important as the games
themselves. Do not even think about saying "but you have already seen this...why don't you change
the channel to something we can all watch??", the reply will be: "Refer to Rule #2 of this list".

12. And finally, please save your expressions such as "Thank God the World Cup is only every 4
years". I am immune to these words, because after this comes the Champions League, Italian League,
Spanish League, Premier League, etc etc.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Regards,

Men of the World

Parent Meeting

Kaoz... I finally met Thomas's parents. Hmmm... At least up til now, his mum is ok with me, so is his dad. Their only "issue" so far is that Im SHORT! Hahaha...

In Thomas's house, he is the biggest and the tallest, ironically, his girlfriend is the smallest and the shortest.

His mum commented that if by any chance the two family were to come together, its gonna be like the Giants meet the Dwarfs.

Quite true.

Mum's Qns

It's been 2 weeks since I have been going home religiously every nite. Guess My parents are more or less convinced that Im home for good...

Today's Mummy day, gave mum $250 for allowance. She is veh happy and was showing off to her friend during steamboat.

Hahaha... She asked me how come I gave her so much *FYI: I usually only give her $100*, told her to take it as today is a special day, next month no special day then I'll give her only $50 lor.. hahaha... She knew I was joking so she gave the "You dare you try" look.

Well, I was away for two nights though. Spent two precious nights with Someone special. *I know, you want to know who huh? Tell you next time k?* (Raymond must be grinning and giving me the "I know who lah")

For once in god knows how long, Mummy asked me:

"Where have you been those two nights? Never even call home. Next time, dun come home must say mah..."

My reply:

"Oh.. ok, next time I will"

I guess, most of you will be like, Eh.. I thot your mum more or less give up on you liao? Well, guess what? Mummy still loves me.. Thank god.

冯家大小姐 is back!

Today is the day that for once, my mum and my dad truely smile from the bottom of their heart.

Y? Thats becoz im back. Im finally going home. Their sweet precious daughter had finally found her way home to her daddy and mummy.

I left home for someone whom i thought was worth my separation from my family, now i know, its not whether he is worth my leaving or not, its about whether i can bear to leave or not. As much as others may think that i hate my family, but deep down inside, as much as i curse my mum n dad, i noe for a fact that they are the ones who will truely be there for me when i needed support.

Sad to hear this for someone who suppose to noe me better than anyone else:
"Happy? Your mum? Thought that she is like that whether you go home or not what?"

Probably I didnt communicate my feelings to you well enough bah.
